What Is a Completing Sentence?
What Is a Completing Sentence?A concluding sentence is a preposition that appears before a noun or phrase. It denotes that the said object is connected to another one, something else, or even to an indefinite number of other objects. Basically, a concluding sentence is a statement that finishes off a chapter or a section of a text. For example, in a chapter, the last sentence will be the ending of the chapter, the final paragraph will finish the work in the whole book. On the other hand, if the chapter is divided into parts, the final sentences of the parts will conclude the whole work. As an example, a part of a story may be divided into chapters and the last sentence may finish each chapter. To avoid confusion, a closing that has nothing to do with what we are explaining should always precede the conclusion. The sentence which concludes the topic of the story, the chapter, or the subject will naturally do the trick. An ending on its own is also referred to as a circumlocution. Sometim es, it can be misleading to say that a sentence ends the topic without mentioning what is stated. It is important that the sentence is carefully written because an uneducated reader will quickly find out that what he thinks is a concluding sentence really does not. For example, if the author writes: 'In a book about the nature of the mind, the author says...' and the reader reads: 'What is a concluding sentence? ', he may get confused and read the sentence as a mere metaphor.Concluding sentences may also be found as a title. These titles could either be different from the body of the text or they could be the first paragraph of the entire article. The last paragraph of the article that ends with a concluding sentence usually gives a summary of the entire article and the conclusion of the entire text. Usually, an ending can be omitted when writing a series of articles. But an ending should always be present, especially if you are writing a book.
